Yes Lord
Download MP327 And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” 28 When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” 29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” 30 And their eyes were opened.
Jesus ministered healing to this man but he said it was according to the man’s own faith that accessed his own healing.
How did this man show faith? How did he act one it?
By saying “Yes, Lord.”
Sometimes that’s all it takes, a “Yes Lord” to what God’s will is for you.
Many years ago I was in a Church service, on the back row, and the minister starting speaking by the power of the Spirit and said something specific that God wanted to do in someone’s life. I knew it was me and simply said, “Yes Lord” to myself and the power of God came on me and knocked me down. I’m not saying you have to be knocked down by that I was.
Our words are an act of faith.
ESV 2 Corinthians 4:13 Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak.
2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. ESV
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. NIV
Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. Message Bible
Whatever you see in Scripture as God’s will for you, say “Yes Lord”.
Remember what Mary said when the angel came to tell her she was going to have a child and his name would be Jesus? Remember what she said?
Luke 1:38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.”
Luke 1:38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.”
She was saying, Yes, Lord.
Find out what the Word reveals as God’s will for you, believe it and speak words of faith. Say, “Yes, Lord”.
Hebrews 10:23 ESV
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
