What If I Pray And Not Healed?
Download MP3Summary:
This is a question that’s often asked. I’d like to present you some Scriptures to keep in mind and will keep you from getting in error.
First of all, remember where I faith comes from.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
Romans 10:17 English Standard Version
Our faith, what we believe, is based on God’s will as revealed in his Word. His Word doesn’t change. Neither should our belief unless our belief did not line up with the Word to begin with. If our belief does line up with the Word, the only change should be growth, even more assurance and steadfastness in the revealed will of God and his faithfulness.
The important thing to remember is to not let circumstances or present condition determine what you believe. If the Word of God led you to believe that it’s God will for you to be healed and that’s why you prayed, then why let the present circumstances change your mind?
Some may say, “I prayed and God chose not to heal me!”
What’s your Scripture for that?
You see we so often base our belief on circumstances.
Remember, Faith is the evidence, or conviction of things not seen… Hebrews 11:1
Often times people begin to think that God is holding back his blessings. This is not Scriptural.
Consider these verses.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Psalm 84:11 English Standard Version
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
Romans 8:32 English Standard Version
It’s so important to spend time in the Word and be convinced of God’s will and his faithfulness to fulfill his promises. That’s how you can stand in faith even when the circumstances say something different. That’s how you can stand strong and rejoice in the goodness of God even though you are having to persevere and you are not seeing any change in the natural.
Consider this passage;
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
1 John 5:13-15 English Standard Version
How long from the time you pray will you give God before you decide your prayer wasn’t his will? An hour? A day? A week? A year? How long?
Or, will you be determined to believe the Word of God and let His Word determine what God’s will is for your life and pursue it no matter what? That’s a life of Faith.
Stay with the Word, no matter what. Stay with the Word!
Blessings in Christ,
Tim Dumas
