Thanksgiving and Blessed Food
Download MP3Summary:
Developing the discipline of giving thanks can help us walk in health.
First of all, when you are complaining, you are not happy. When you are thankful, you are happy.
Being happy will help us walk in health.
Proverbs 17:22 NIV says, "A cheerful heart is good medicine..."
We also have a promise from God about our food. Just like other promises, we need to believe and act on it and thank him for it, then expect God to bring it to pass in our lives.
Here's two promises we can stand on so that our food is blessed and causes us or helps us to walk in health.
“Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,”
Exodus 23:25 NIV
“They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.”
1 Timothy 4:3-5 NIV
