Producing His Will
Download MP3Summary;
The way you receive his will is by acting on his will. I’m saying once you know the will of God, you act on it. You yield to it mentally, spiritually and physically. You make his truth, your truth.
Once you know the will, you accept it as true in your thoughts. When you think about that certain subject, your thoughts always come in line with what the Word of God says. What the Word of God has revealed as His will.
As you think about and meditate on God’s truth, it begins to strengthen your spirit on that subject or truth. You begin to grow strong in your spirit man as faith rises up. You need this because the Scripture says it’s with the heart one believes.
Next, you act on the revealed will of God. You act in faith. Remember James says faith without works (action taken) is dead, meaning of no use. You can believe something but it doesn’t benefit you until you act on it.
One of most common ways to act on your faith is by speaking. Once a truth becomes real to you in your spirit it will become easy to say for the Scriptures tell us, “The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Luke 6:45 ESV
I want you to hear this scripture again and notice what it says. “The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
The treasure in our hearts is the Word of God. The person produces good out of that good treasure, out of the Word, by speaking it.
We speak the truth of God. We speak the will of God. If the present circumstances contradict the Word of God, that’s okay. Present circumstances are temporary but the Word of God is eternal.
If you are dealing with sickness, 1 Peter 2:24 is a great Scripture to meditate on.
It says “ He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.”
Through the redemptive work of Christ, we have been healed. Healing is God’s will and it has been provided for us through the redemptive work of Christ.
We need to agree with that and think according to the truth the Scriptures revealed. Has healing already been provided for us through the redemptive work of Christ? Yes. According to Scripture it has.
Now that we know that, we agree with it and meditate on that truth allowing it to settle in our spirits. When we do that, faith will grow and our hearts will grow strong in this area.
Finally, once we get so convinced in our spirits that this is true, we will speak it, producing the truth of it in our lives.
Mark 11:23 ESV says, “Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.”
Now don’t stop at one verse. When you want to know God’s will and walk in it, look to see if there’s other Scriptures which agree with that one and begin to agree with them, meditate on them allowing faith to grow and your heart be convinced of God’s truth enough to say it. Then keep saying it.
Keep growing in the Word. Keep yielding to it, agreeing with it, meditating on it, growing your spirit and your faith and keep speaking the truth of God’s Word over your life.
Have the Word (good things) in your heart and speak it so that you can cooperate with God’s will to produce his Will in your life.
Blessings in Christ,
