Hold Fast To Your Confession Part 3

Download MP3
Today we see the confession of God's Word is included in the Old Testament and how his Word must be our testimony.
Hebrews 10:23 ESV
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

Confession in the Old Testament
Joshua 1:8-9 ESV
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Psalm 91NKJV
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

How did he make the Lord his refuge? Confession.

YLT… 1 He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, In the shade of the Mighty lodgeth habitually, 2 He is saying of Jehovah, `My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,'

Revelation 12:11 ESV
11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

Look to the Scriptures to see who God reveals himself to be and confess that. Look to see who God says you are as a new creation in Christ, and confess that. Look to the Scriptures to see what God has done for you and will do for you, and confess that.

Be consistent in these confessions. Hold fast to them and expect to see who God is and his promises to manifest in your life.
