He Will Take Sickness Away

Isn’t this one of the most wonderful verses you have ever read. God, our God has said if we serve him, he will bless our substance and take sickness away! This is not just words. It is the Words of God. It’s his promise. If only we believe this and stand in faith for what God has promised!
If anyone ever doubts God’s desire for his children to walk in health, this should remove it. Healing is good but walking in health is better and that’s what this verse is talking about.
Let’s look at another translation.
“I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness.” - Exodus 23:25 (NLT)
We tend to read this verse as God is only saying he will bless our food and water but it also means he will bless us with food and water! God, our loving Heavenly Father provides!
“I will protect you from illness.” This has to get you excited! God said if we serve him that he would take sickness away or as the New Living Translation reads, “I will protect you from illness.” Yes, God wants to provide freedom from sickness and disease for those who love him and serve him.
Isaiah 53:4 from the Amplified Bible reads, “Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses)...”
God took sickness and disease and put it on Christ. Christ bore it for us so that we don’t have too. Sickness came in the world as a result of sin. Jesus took our sin and he took our sickness. The love of Christ is beyond our understanding but don’t let that stop you from walking in God’s provision, freedom from sin and sickness!
Rejoice in it! God is our Healer. Christ took or sickness and disease! By his stripes we are healed!
