19 Healings
Download MP3By studying the life of Christ, we can know the nature and will of the Father.
As we look to the Gospels to see what Jesus did and how he acted, we see the will and nature of God the Father.
Scriptures
Exodus 15:26, “... I am the Lord who heals you.”
John 6:38, “For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.”
Hebrews 1
1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature… *ABCE “He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature…”
That’s why Jesus said in John 14:9 ”Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”
He wasn’t claiming to be the Father. Remember Jesus prayed to the Father. Jesus was saying if you have seen him and know what he is like then you know exactly what the Father is like.
Acts 10:38 says, “even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”
Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
God is our Healer. Jesus went about doing good and healing because God anointed him to do so. Jesus has always been about “healing” and he hasn’t changed. Healing was God’s will. Healing is God’s will.
Over the next several episodes, we are going to see the will and nature of God through the life of Jesus and we will grow in confidence concerning healing being God's will.
